Ryan Horvat: Released from professional tryout

Horvat was let go by the Panthers from his professional tryout agreement Friday, Harvey Fialkov of the Sun-Sentinel reports

Horvat spent last season in the AHL with the Ontario Reign where he logged five goals, 10 helpers, and 91 PIM. The 23-year-old has yet to make his NHL debut, which seems increasingly unlikely given his inability to secure a long-term deal.
