Cubs-Indians World Series: Maddon not ruling out Schwarber in outfield at Wrigley
The Game 2 hero could be in the Game 3 lineup after all
Chicago Cubs outfielder/catcher Kyle Schwarber has already thrown one wrinkle our way this World Series by being available in any capacity.
Now Schwarber, who was previously thought be available only in a hitting capacity, could be offering us another twist. That's because manager Joe Maddon hasn't ruled out using Schwarber in the outfield ... provided, that is, the Cubs' medical staff clears him:
Joe Maddon says doctors will determine Kyle Schwarber's availability to play LF in Wrigley. He didn't rule it out. "He's a different cat."

Schwarber will be evaluated Thursday, a travel day for both clubs, and things will proceed from there. But there's at least a chance the Cubs might have one of the heroes from Game 2 in their Games 3-5 lineup at Wrigley after all.
Who would've dreamed it a week ago?
