LOOK: Battle of Jobu dolls
Remember Pedro Cerrano's buddy Jobu from the movie 'Major League?' Of course you do. Here's a bobblehead and figure. Let's compare them.
It's no secret in these parts that I'm a bit obsessed with the movie "Major League" and I wear it like a badge of honor. Thanks to things I've written in the past about a certain bobblehead and a certain officially licensed figure, I've now acquired not one but two Jobu toys to add to my bobblehead collection.
Let's size them up, because #journalism.
Here they are, side-by-side.

On the left, we have the Jobu bobblehead from the Lake County Captains (Indians Class A affiliate). On the right, it's a Jobu figure from jobulifestyle.com.
Give a plus to the Lake County bobble for the shot glass at Jobu's feet and the necklace going all the way down. The more-prominent hair is also a plus.
Which one has the better face? Here's the actual Jobu from a YouTube screengrab:

The bobblehead:

The figure:

I actually think the bobblehead is closer to the real face, but the lack of a cigar sets it behind. Jobu Lifestyle takes this one, and that's a theme from here on out. It makes sense, because one was a sponsored ballpark giveaway and the other is a for-profit venture. Allow me to stress once and for all, however, that both are outstanding and permanent fixtures in my office.
Even if the Lake County bobble was superior -- which it's not -- the packaging of the Jobu Lifestyle figure laps the field. Check these out.

Vaughn and Cerrano faux-cards! There are more.

Yes, the gang is all here. How about when I close the box? Yes, it's Pedro Cerrano's locker from spring training, marks from the snake making a cross and all.

For good measure, check out the side of the box.

Remember when Ed Harris says his outstanding line, takes a shot of Jobu's rum and yells, "yo, bartender, Jobu needs a refill."
Yeah, Jobulifestyle.com sells Jobu's rum now, too.

The company also tells CBSSports.com that there are some Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn ugly Christmas sweaters in the works. Sounds like "Major League" fans need to head over to jobulifestyle.com.
