NEW YORK -- Sunday night at Yankee Stadium, the Yankees honored longtime captain Derek Jeter by retiring his No. 2, and dedicating a plaque in Monument Park. The Yankees have now retired every single single-digit number. Pretty incredible.

Of course, the Yankees couldn't let Jeter go without getting him to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Sunday's series finale against the Astros (GameTracker). Here is Jeter's first pitch:

After throwing out the first pitch, Jeter flipped the ball to diehard Yankees fan Spike Lee, who was sitting with the cool kids in the front row:

Memorabilia doesn't get much better than the ceremonial first pitch ball throw by Jeter on the night his number was retired.
