LOOK: Marlins owner has the perfect reaction to losing his new pitcher to injury
Colin Rea left with an elbow injury during his first start with the Marlins
The Miami Marlins are right in the thick of the NL wild-card race and earlier this week acquired starting pitchers Andrew Cashner and Colin Rea from the Padres. Rea was throwing very well in his first start with the Fish on Saturday, having only allowed one hit through 3 1/3 scoreless innings against the Cardinals. But then he took himself out of the game due to an apparent injury.
And it's his elbow.

Rea has a 4.82 ERA on the season, but with Wei-Yin Chen on the DL, they needed all the arms they could get. Plugging Cashner and Rea into the rotation rounded it out behind Jose Fernandez, Tom Koehler and Adam Conley. So losing Rea is obviously very bad news.
Let's check in on Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria:

Yep.
On the bright side, the Marlins are blowing the Cardinals out and taking back the second wild-card spot in the NL.
