CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs, in vanquishing the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 6 of the NLCS, won the pennant for the first time since 1945. As noted in this space, Wrigleyville -- the North Side neighborhood surrounding Wrigley Field -- was teeming before Game 6 ended. At this writing? At this writing, it's a tumult of humanity, the constituent elements of which are no doubt pleased by recent baseball results ...

It's been said that while Ole Miss loses a number of football games, they've never lost a party. Tonight, though, Clark Street in Chicago has won the party. With good cause, I might add.
