Rangers expected to activate Yu Darvish on Saturday
Darvish has been on the DL with a sore shoulder since June 9
The first place Rangers are starting to get healthy.
Wednesday afternoon the team announced ace righty Yu Darvish is expected to be activated off the DL to start Saturday. He's been out since June 9 with a sore shoulder. The Rangers are playing the Cubs in Chicago this weekend.
Darvish, 29, started the season on the DL while finishing his Tommy John surgery rehab. He returned on May 28, made three starts, then went down with the sore shoulder. Darvish allowed five runs in 15 2/3 innings in those three starts.

The Rangers are still without Derek Holland (shoulder), Colby Lewis (lat), and Keone Kela (elbow). Holland and Lewis are still a ways off from returning. The hope is they'll be back in August. Kela is currently on a minor league rehab assignment and is expect back soon.
Texas will begin the second half with a 54-36 record and 5 1/2 game lead in the AL West. They did drop seven of their last 10 games prior to the All-Star break, though getting Darvish back will surely help get the club on track.
