The Braves have sent veteran outfielder Jeff Francoeur to the Marlins in a three-way trade that also involved the Rangers, sources tell Fox's Ken Rosenthal.

The Braves will be receiving shortstop prospect Dylan Moore from the Rangers and minor-league catcher Matt Foley from the Marlins, and the Rangers will receive international signing slot #93 from Atlanta and international slots #37 and #97 from Miami for 2017. That means more room in the Rangers' international signing pool budget for 2017.

Francoeur, 32, is batting .249/.290/.381 this season, but he's been adequate against left-handed pitching. He's owed the balance of a $1 million salary for this season and will be a free agent this winter. The Marlins, in the thick of the NL wild-card race, are obviously in need of outfield help after Giancarlo Stanton's (possibly season-ending) injury and Ichiro Suzuki's declining production. If circumstances demand, manager Don Mattingly can form a workable platoon with the recently acquired Orlando Arcia and Francoeur.

As for Moore, 24, he was a seventh-rounder out of Central Florida in 2015. Across parts of two minor-league seasons, he's batted .266/.376/.445. He's yet to play above the High-A level. Foley, meantime, is a 22-year-old 40th rounder in 2015 who's batted .203/.314/.203 in 70 career plate appearances.

The Marlins beat Kansas City 3-0 on Wednesday night, ending the Royals' nine-game winning streak.
