Report: Yu Darvish expected to start for the Rangers on Saturday
One long-awaited return is about to occur

Here's some pleasant news for you to enjoy over Sunday supper: Yu Darvish is now less than a week from returning to the majors, according to Jon Paul Morosi:
#Rangers plan for Yu Darvish to make season debut next Sat, assuming tomorrow's rehab start goes well, as I said on @FOXSports telecast.

That's a great development for the Rangers, who have taken to starting Cesar Ramos -- a long reliever for most of his big-league career -- in A.J. Griffin's absence. Add in Derek Holland's struggles and Martin Perez's shaky peripherals, and the Rangers could use the boost that comes with adding one of the game's better right-handed starters to the rotation.
Though Darvish underwent Tommy John surgery in March 2015, he was shut down early the season before. As a result, he hasn't stepped on a big-league mound since August 2014. Darvish owns career marks of a 3.27 ERA (128 ERA+) and a 3.12 strikeout-to-walk ratio, and has made the all-star team in each of his three healthy seasons in America.
