WATCH: Minor-league teams engage in ugly brawl after retaliation pitch
Baseball can't go a few weeks without some kerfuffle or another
If you like seeing professional athletes misbehave -- or, in another parlance, behave like schoolchildren -- then boy oh boy, did the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (a Dodgers affiliate) and the High Desert Mavericks (Rangers) ever deliver on Friday night.
The nonsense took place in the sixth inning. The Mavericks had hit a batter during the previous half-inning, but took exception when the Quakes retaliated by intentionally hitting a batter of their own.
From there, things got ugly and violent, with both benches clearing:

Order was eventually restored, with ejections being handed out. You can bet some suspensions are coming, too. In the interim, the Mavericks got the last laugh -- they won 10-4.
