WATCH: Pirates top prospect's first homer is a grand slam and he knows it
Josh Bell hit a big home run and had some fun because of it
Pirates first-base prospect Josh Bell may be up only until the All-Star Break, but that didn't stop him from creating a lifelong memory on Saturday night.
Bell received a pinch-hit assignment in the fifth inning with the bases loaded against Adam Warren. You can probably see where this is going. If not, Bell worked a 1-1 count then got a pitch he could drive. Drive the pitch he did, all the way out of PNC Park:

Josh Bell gets the curtain call from @Pirates' fans vs the Cubs.https://t.co/oKEUfD8gT8
Bell's home run had obvious personal significance, as well as some historical meaning (see below), but the part that will stick with us the longest was his reaction. He appeared legitimately thrilled to record a big hit when he did, and was fired up to receive a curtain call from the Pittsburgh crowd.
Josh Bell is the 16th player with his first HR being a PH grand slam, and the 2nd player this season (Alex Dickerson, SD on 5/10) @MLBONFOX

Josh Bell and Alex Dickerson each have a pinch-hit grand slam this season for their first career HR.

The pitcher each time? Adam Warren.
Baseball always seems to take issue with players -- especially rookies -- displaying joy on the field. Here's hoping everyone makes an exception in this case. Or, you know, learns to enjoy themselves as much as Bell did following his big moment.
