WATCH: Yasiel Puig seems to be enjoying himself while down in the minors
The Dodgers' recent demotion of the outfielder doesn't seem to be dragging down his spirits
Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was recently optioned to Triple-A in large part of because of his ongoing struggles at the plate. After two games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Puig's batting a reasonably productive .286/.375/.429, but the real story is that the trip back the farm doesn't seem to have dampened his spirits in the slightest.
For evidence of this claim, please refer yourselves to the following video shot by Puig himself, as the auteur and his new teammates join the ranks of the Party People following a loss on Monday to Des Moines (note: video is potentially not safe for work because of some bellowed profanity) ...
Know what that was? That was a young ballplayer having fun with his teammates on his own time. Remember that before pecking in all-caps that Puig still doesn't get it -- "it" being whatever "it" is.
In any event, it'll be need at the highest level in tandem with better performance out of Puig that lands him back in the majors. In the meantime, why not enjoy yourself?
