Following an emergency appendectomy back on May 22, Ryan Truex is set to drive Joe Gibbs Racing's No. 20 Nationwide Series car at Dover this weekend.

"I felt fine Monday evening (May 21), but around 2 a.m. felt a sharp pain in my stomach," Truex said. "I went to the hospital to find out that my appendix hadn't burst, but needed surgery to be removed. The procedure went extremely well and I'm ready to get back in the No. 20 Grime Boss Toyota this weekend... I'll just be a little lighter."

Dover is considered a "home" track for Truex, the younger brother of Cup Series regular Martin Truex Jr. The Truex family grew up just across the state line in Mayetta, N.J.

Truex has made two starts in JGR's No. 20 car this season, finishing 10th at Bristol and 11th at Talladega.
