After countless below-the-belt hits, Steven Adams could start wearing a cup
Steven Adams will talk with the Thunder's training staff about wearing a cup during games
Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams learned an important lesson this postseason -- it's better to be safe than sorry. Which is why after getting kicked in the groin by Draymond Green in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals, a kick that could possibly earn the Warriors big man a one game suspension, Adams is thinking about wearing a cup to protect himself from future hits to the groin.

Adams told reporters on Monday that he hasn't talked to the Oklahoma City trainers yet, but that he may start wearing a cup. "Probably going to consider it due to the consistency of the hits." Adams said.
Due to the nature of how he plays -- physical and in the post -- Adams routinely gets roughed up during games. He dishes it out as well, but after getting hit in the groin in both Game 2 and 3 of the Western Conference finals, it is probably wise for him to protect himself from future blows.
