After just one injury-plagued and tumultuous season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dwight Howard signed with the Houston Rockets in the summer of 2013. Throughout the 2012-2013 season, Howard never got along with Kobe Bryant as the two often bickered and didn't quite see eye to eye. However, Bryant did try to pitch Howard on re-signing with the Lakers that summer but the former All-Star center chose to head to Houston instead.

Howard made his decision with his best interests in mind but there is still some ill will between him and Bryant. The two even got into it during a Lakers-Rockets game in 2014.

Since he shares this history with Bryant, Howard was asked about his former teammate's upcoming retirement after the Rockets beat the New York Knicks. Specifically, Howard was asked what he learned from Bryant.

Howard's response?

Welp!

The Rockets center did praise Bryant though, telling reporters that the Lakers star had an "amazing career."

While this is a very good answer by Howard, it is clear to see that some wounds will never heal.
