Lakers, Magic, Pistons will reportedly pursue Al Horford in free agency
The versatile big man has no shortage of options this summer
As one of the bigger name free agents this summer, Al Horford will likely hear offers from several different teams. And according to ESPN's Marc Stein, three teams that are hoping to be the first to talk with Horford once free agency starts are the Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic.

These three teams are quite different from one another as the Lakers are still rebuilding, the Pistons are a blossoming playoff team and the Magic have a ton of potential and could possibly make the postseason next year. Each team will benefit greatly by the addition of Horford thought, as he is a four-time All-Star and averaged 14.3 points, 8.9 rebounds last season. Detroit is an interesting option for Horford as he will be able to play power forward since Andre Drummond will be at center and his three-point shooting would be a great fit in Stan Van Gundy's offense.
But since the Hawks have Horford's Bird rights, they could offer him a larger and longer max deal than any other team, so he may just re-sign in Atlanta. But with the Lakers, Pistons and Magic the first to express interest in him, Horford will likely have plenty of teams to pick from when free agency starts in July.
