Still struggling with substance abuse after a near-death experience last October, former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom reportedly walked out of a family-led intervention on Friday. According to Extra, several members of his family held an intervention for Odom but once he walked in to the location of the meeting, he immediately left:

Family sources tell "Extra" that last night's attempt at an intervention for Lamar Odom was unsuccessful, but that they are committed to getting him help.

Khloé Kardashian's estranged husband was extremely surprised and left the location, but is still in New York.

"Extra" was told that several family members were on hand, including his aunt, JaNean Mercer; his kids; and his ex-wife Liza Morales.

Extra also reports that one of Odom's cousins has contacted former New York Mets great Daryl Strawberry to help with the invention. Strawberry has a rehab and recovery center in Florida and the family's plan was to get Odom to enter the facility. But reportedly that effort has failed.

Odom looked to be on the mend after being released from the hospital a few months ago. He appeared at Kobe Bryant's last game and a number of other NBA events. But after recently getting escorted off a plane due to alcohol-induced vomiting, it seems like Odom is still wrestling with his inner demons and is unable to control his addiction.
