Despite saying their goodbyes to Andrew Bogut and Harrison Barnes, the Golden State Warriors don't have any plans to do the same with Shaun Livingston. According to ESPN's Marc Spears, the Warriors will fully guarantee Livingston's contract for next season:

The decision to retain Livingston had actually been made prior to Durant's announcement on The Players' Tribune on Monday. By remaining on the Warriors' roster as of June 30, Livingston's remaining $5.8 million became fully guaranteed for next season. The Warriors informed Livingston about their decision to keep him for next season on Monday morning.

In two seasons with the Warriors, Livingston has become a dependable backup point guard on Golden State's second unit. Last season, Livingston averaged 6.3 points and three assists in 19.5 minutes a game. He is a steadying force and can even explode for big time performances like he did in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

The Warriors had to clear up some cap space to sign Durant, and Livingston was rumored to be on his way out because of that. But Golden State values Livingston and his role on the second unit, which is why it fully guaranteed his contract. And at $5.8 million for one year, the Warriors are getting a great value for Livingston. Especially since the Warriors likely can't find a quality backup like Livingston in free agency this offseason.

Livingston's career has been up and down since he suffered a devastating knee injury in in 2007 but he's clearly found a home in Golden State, and the Warriors are making sure he remains on their team by guaranteeing his contract.
