It was just the second game of the season, but during Golden State's victory over New Orleans on Friday, Stephen Curry set yet another three-point record.

Curry rather uncharacteristically didn't have an insane shooting night. However, he did sink four three-pointers which allowed him to surpass Ray Allen as the fastest player in NBA history to make 1,600 career threes. Curry was able to reach that mark in almost 200 fewer games than Allen as it took the Warriors superstar 497 games to make 1,600 threes compared to Allen's previous record of 693.

Curry made 402 threes last season, which is the single-season record in NBA history. While 400-plus threes is a mark that Warriors coach Steve Kerr doesn't think Curry will reach this season, the sharpshooter will be in the top-10 in career 3-pointers made if he's able to make 200-plus threes this season. Knowing what we can expect from Curry, this seems very likely to happen.
