With the 40th pick in Thursday's NBA Draft, the Charlotte Hornets took Dwayne Bacon, an athletic wing out of Florida State who some think may be one of the steals of this draft.

The Hornets held their introductory press conference for their rookies on Friday, and general manager Rich Cho took the mic to welcome his newest players: Malik Monk and ... Dwyane Wade?

"I'd like to welcome to the Hornets family ... Malik Monk and Dwyane Wade," Cho said, before realizing his mistake and breaking out in laughter.

You can watch the full video above, but Bacon's face was absolutely priceless when Cho called him Wade by mistake.

At 6-6, 200 pounds, Bacon is actually quite similar physically to Wade when he first entered the NBA. After the flub, Cho said that it wasn't just a first name that the two players have in common.

"Actually," he said, "I think they have some similarities."

To expect Bacon, a second-round pick, to approach Wade's success in the league is setting him up for failure. But if Bacon makes the team and fulfills his potential, at least we'll get his name right from now on.
