Retired Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant made a visit to Los Angeles City Hall on Wednesday to be honored for his accomplishments as a player and for his charitable work with the city's homeless community. To properly honor Bryant, the Los Angeles City Council actually decreed that August 24 would forever be known as "Kobe Bryant Day," so Lakers fans packed City Hall to celebrate with their hero on his special day.

They also sang happy birthday to Bryant in unison:

Bryant's birthday was on Tuesday, so this was bit of a belated celebratory song however he still seemed to enjoy it. More importantly though, it is quite clear to see that even in retirement, the love Los Angeles has for Bryant will never fade away.
