There is plenty to say about the Cowboys quarterback situation and plenty that has already been said. Bottom line is this: if Dak Prescott plays well, he's keeping the job.

But there's a pretty huge gray area that would involve people wondering whether Tony Romo should play.

The man who will ultimately pull the trigger on Romo, Jerry Jones, spent his Saturday with Romo at Jerry's grandson's football game.

It isn't just any game we're talking about here, however. The game features Highland Park High School playing in an in-state title game, and the quarterback is John Stephen Jones, son of Stephen Jones and grandson of Jerry.

So Romo is really just hanging out at the Cowboys stadium doing Romo things.

Additionally, Jerry and Romo are close anyway, so it's not unusual for them to spend weekends or vacations or whatever together.

On any other weekend it's not even worth noting that they're spending time together. But with Jerry opening up the door for a potential quarterback change and then doing a sub-optimal job of trying to cram the toothpaste back into the tube, it's hard not to see that video and think about the things Romo might be planting in Jones' head.
