LOOK: Peyton Manning flips out on Eli Manning for crunching on chips
Some things never change between older and younger brothers
There is nothing quite like the love between an older brother and a younger sibling who are now grown. It's born out of years of spending an impossible amount of time together, typically doing sporty or stupid or stupidly sporty things. It's not difficult to grate on the nerves of a brother.
Peyton Manning and Eli Manning are no exception to this rule. Appearing on a preview for "The Timeline," a new NFL series set to air this coming Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on NBC, the two brothers are seen hanging out at Duke University, watching film with David Cutcliffe in his office.
Cutcliffe was Manning's offensive coordinator at Tennessee and Eli's head coach at Ole Miss and the two routinely spend time during the summer on the campus in Durham. Manning did his rehab from neck surgery there, secretly throwing to various wide receivers. The coach is very close with his former pupils.
So, they're all hanging out in Durham, watching some film, talking about some drills and Eli is hungry. Very hungry. He has some chips and he wants to eat them. So eats them. Very loudly. It freaks Peyton out and he kind of loses his mind on him in only the way an older brother can get mad about something so small.
There's also a cool video of Manning working with Wes Welker on route concepts. We'll embed that below. More importantly, let's dissect the faces the Manning Brothers make in this video.
There's so much there for interpretation. It looks like a funny little exchange. But you can tell it's not the first time it's happened.

At this point, Peyton is hoping Eli will drop it and quit eating the chips. He's realized that he's angry about potato chips and doesn't really want to acknowledge it.

Eli just wants his darn chips. So he keeps eating. HE'S A GROWN ADULT AFTER ALL.

This is where Peyton realizes there's a camera filming the interaction. He can't completely flip out or America will completely turn on him. Play it off as a joke, Peyton. Laugh a little! Humor defuses awkward situations.

And then the pièce de résistance, Eli's face when it occurs to him a similar interaction has occurred in his life roughly 10,000 times since he was a small child.

Not saying the Manning brothers are a normal set of brothers. They're two pretty likely Hall of Fame quarterbacks. That doesn't grow on real trees or even most metaphorical ones.
But this interaction is 100 percent, pure older-younger brother interaction. It's beautiful in a totally weird way.
And now, this:
