Steven Sims: Back to practice squad
Sims reverted to the Cardinals' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Sims was elevated to the Cardinals' active roster and made his 2025 regular-season debut during Sunday's loss to the Falcons. He played seven of 57 offensive snaps without recording a target, but he also played six snaps on special teams and returned two kickoffs for 55 yards. Sims is eligible to be elevated to the active roster twice more this season, and he could be brought up from the practice squad for Arizona's Week 17 tilt against Cincinnati on Sunday.

Cardinals' Steven Sims: No catches in season debut
Sims failed to haul in his lone target while playing seven of the team's 57 snaps on offense in Sunday's 26-19 loss to the Falcons. He also returned two kickoffs for 55 yards.
Elevated from the practice squad for the first time all season ahead of the Week 16 contest, Sims ended up sharing the No. 4 receiver role with Jalen Brooks, as both players logged single-digit snaps in the loss. Sims made his greatest impact on special teams, where he should continue to be a factor as a return man if the Cardinals elevate him again for either or both of their final two games of the season.

Cardinals' Steven Sims: Elevated for Week 16
The Cardinals have elevated Sims from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
Sims could be in line to suit up for his first game of the 2025 regular season Sunday. He boasts the ability to contribute both as a depth option at wideout and in the return game. After Sunday's contest against Atlanta, Sims will revert to the practice squad.

Steven Sims: Signs with Arizona
The Cardinals signed Sims to the practice squad Tuesday.
Sims reached an injury settlement with the Seahawks on Aug. 27 as he was plagued with a hamstring injury during the summer. The wide receiver has been cleared of injury designation and will join the Cardinals, making Arizona his first team of the 2025 regular season. With Marvin Harrison (heel) and Xavier Weaver (hamstring) questionable, as well as Greg Dortch (chest) on IR, the Cardinals have been looking for wide receiver depth to fill their ranks. Sims is a candidate for practice squad elevation ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans.

Steven Sims: Released with injury settlement
Sims (hamstring) reached an injury settlement with the Seahawks on Tuesday, shortly after the team had placed him on injured reserve.
Sims was originally slated to go on season-ending IR, but the injury settlement makes him eligible to play in 2025. Once recovered from his hamstring injury, Sims can sign with any NFL team as a free agent. The 28-year-old wide receiver has 53 games of regular-season NFL experience.

Seahawks' Steven Sims: Tending to hamstring issue
Coach Mike Macdonald said Tuesday that Sims has a hamstring injury, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
Sims had been missing training camp practices due to an undisclosed injury, and now it's evident he's been dealing with a problem with his hamstring. He's projected as one of the favorites to return kicks for Seattle in 2025, but rookie fifth-rounder Tory Horton could get more looks in that role as long as Sims remains out.

Sims (undisclosed) did not participate in Saturday's training camp practice, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Sims, who signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks in March, is competing for a spot on the 53-man roster as a return specialist. It's unclear what type of injury he's working through, but he'll work on recovering in time for the Seahawks' preseason opener against the Raiders on Thursday. Sims played in nine regular-season games between the Ravens (two) and the Texans (seven) in 2024, and finished with 195 kick return yards and 99 punt return yards.

Seahawks' Steven Sims: Signs with Seattle
Sims and the Seahawks agreed on a one-year contract Tuesday, Corbin K. Smith of SI.com reports.
Sims will head to Seattle after splitting the 2024 campaign between the Texans and the Ravens. The wide receiver combined to log nine total offensive snaps during the regular season, doing most of his damage as a return specialist. He'll likely operate in a similar role with the Seahawks in 2025.

Ravens' Steven Sims: Works mostly as returner in 2024
Sims didn't record any catches or targets in nine regular-season games in 2024 and gained zero yards on one carry. He registered 195 kick-return yards on seven returns and 122 punt-return yards on 21 attempts.
Sims spent most of the season with Houston, playing in seven regular-season contests during which he logged nine offensive snaps and 63 special-teams snaps. The veteran wideout was waived in late December and subsequently signed with Baltimore, with whom he finished out the year. Sims' only catch of the campaign - a four-yard reception - came in the Ravens' divisional-round loss to Buffalo. Sims is set to become an unrestricted free agent, and his appeal to teams will likely be centered on his role in the return game.

Ravens' Steven Sims: Claimed by Baltimore
The Ravens claimed Sims off waivers from Houston on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Sims has found a new home just three days after being waived by the Texans. The sixth-year pass catcher served in more of a special-teams role with Houston across his seven games this season. He may assume a similar role with the Ravens, but the fact wide receivers Zay Flowers (shoulder) and Nelson Agholor (concussion) are both questionable ahead of Wednesday's game against the Texans could clear the path for Sims to be active against his old squad.
