| Colts to cut Freeney: NFL.com reports that linebacker Dwight Freeney has met with the Colts and has been told he won't be re-signed. Freeney, who converted from defensive end to outside linebacker under coach Chuck Pagano's defense, registered just five sacks and 12 tackles in an injury-plagued 2012 season. A seven-time Pro Bowl selection, Freeney spent every year of his professional career with the Colts, starting in 2002. (Updated 2/15/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
| Freeney will likely be coveted by several teams looking for a pass rusher, and it's doubtful he'll be out of work for long. Keep an eye on what develops, but at this stage of his career he is a low-end Fantasy option based on his role. If he can find a team with a 4-3 alignment and move back to defensive end then his Fantasy value will improve, but right now he's only worth a late-round pick in IDP formats. (Updated 2/15/13). |
