Coach Peter Horachek said that while Barkov (knee) won't require season-ending surgery, he will remain out indefinitely, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.While the Panthers are now backing away from a definitive return date for Barkov, the initial four-to-six week timetable that the team issued would still seem to be a good baseline for the rookie. The Panthers are expected to use Nick Bjugstad on their top line with Sean Bergenheim and Brad Boyes while Barkov remains out.
