Carli Lloyd scored her 89th international goal as she opened the scoring for the USWNT at the 2016 Rio Olympics against New Zealand. Lloyd's goal came nine minutes into the opening match at Belo Horizonte. Check it out.
Tobin Heath does so well to get by defenders and deliver a lovely ball, and Lloyd does the rest. This is Lloyd's 10th goal of the year, which isn't too shabby considering she missed some time with a knee injury. A fantastic start to the Olympics for the favorites.
