Texas vs. Oklahoma State score: Longhorns beat Cowboys to win first Big 12 Tournament title in school history

No. 13 Texas defeated No. 12 Oklahoma State win its first conference championship since an SWC title in 1995

Oklahoma State star Cade Cunningham scored 29 points in Saturday's Big 12 tournament title game, but it wasn't enough to overcome Texas and its balanced platoon as the Longhorns won 91-86 to claim their first Big 12 tournament championship and first postseason conference tournament title since winning the Southwest Conference tournament in 1995.

The Longhorns had four players reach double figures in scoring to outpace the red-hot Cowboys. Senior guard Matt Coleman led the way with 30 points, while big man Jericho Sims added 21 points and 14 rebounds in a dominant effort. Kai Jones and Andrew Jones added 13 each.

For OSU, Cunningham and his brilliant 25-point second half allowed it to chip into Texas' lead down the stretch. But Texas crushed OSU on the boards 39-30 and feasted on second-chance opportunities.

Given that it was such a tightly-contested game, the NCAA Tournament seeding fallout from this one will be interesting. OSU entered the contest as a No. 2 seed but the eighth overall team in CBS Sports Bracketology Expert Jerry Palm's bracket, teetering ever-so-slightly toward a No. 3 seed. Texas entered the day as a No. 3 seed.
