What to Know

The Duquesne Dukes and the George Washington Colonials are even-steven against one another since January of 2016 (6-6), but not for long. The Dukes and George Washington will face off in an Atlantic 10 battle at 7:30 p.m. ET Wednesday at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. The teams split their matchups last year, with Duquesne winning the first 75-63 and the Colonials taking the second 75-73.

Duquesne received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 72-61 to the Davidson Wildcats. Guard Amir Spears (20 points) was the top scorer for Duquesne.

Meanwhile, George Washington was expected to have a tough go of it this past Saturday, and that's exactly how things played out. Things couldn't have gone much worse for them as they lost 80-54 to the Dayton Flyers. Guard James Bishop wasn't much of a difference maker for the Colonials; Bishop finished with ten points on 4-for-13 shooting in his 29 minutes on the court.

The Dukes are the favorite in this one, with an expected 4.5-point margin of victory. But bettors beware: they are only 2-7 against the spread when favored.
