Alabama A&M has to be hurting after a devastating 67-43 defeat at the hands of the Indiana State Sycamores this past Saturday. Alabama A&M was surely aware of their 14.5-point disadvantage in the point spread, but the foreknowledge did nothing to prevent the result.

Meanwhile, the Georgia State Panthers typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Georgia Tech proved too difficult a challenge. Georgia Tech netted a 72-62 victory. Guard Jordan Usher took over for the Yellow Jackets, finishing with 30 points (a whopping 42% of their total) along with 11 boards. Usher's performance made up for a slower contest against the Southern California Trojans this past Saturday. Usher's points were the most he has had all season.

Alabama A&M's loss took them down to 1-8 while Georgia Tech's win pulled them up to 6-5. On Tuesday Georgia Tech relied heavily on Usher, who shot 5-for-6 from beyond the arc and finished with a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. It will be up to Alabama A&M's defense to limit his damage.
