What to Know

The VCU Rams are 5-1 against the Fordham Rams since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success Tuesday. VCU's road trip will continue as they head to Rose Hill Gym at 7 p.m. ET to face off against Fordham. These two teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

The George Mason Patriots typically have all the answers at home, but this past Saturday VCU proved too difficult a challenge. VCU took down the Patriots 85-70. VCU can attribute much of their success to guard Adrian Baldwin Jr., who posted a double-double on 18 points and ten dimes, and guard Jayden Nunn, who had 15 points in addition to six rebounds. Baldwin Jr. hadn't helped his team much against the Rhode Island Rams last week, so this was a nice turnaround for him. Baldwin Jr.'s points were the most he has had all year.

Meanwhile, Fordham strolled past the Duquesne Dukes with points to spare this past Saturday, taking the matchup 65-54. Forward Chuba Ohams and guard Kyle Rose were among the main playmakers for Fordham as the former dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards and the latter had ten points and five assists along with six boards.

VCU is the favorite in this one, with an expected 8-point margin of victory. The odds have been favorable for them against the spread on the road this season, even if it's been tough sledding overall. They are 7-1 ATS in away games but only 15-8 all in all.

VCU is now 16-7 while Fordham sits at 11-12. A couple stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: VCU have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 38.90%, which places them 17th in college basketball. Less enviably, Fordham has only been able to knock down 40.30% percent of their shots, which is the 15th lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. So the cards are definitely stacked against Fordham.
