Who's Playing

Manhattan @ Utah

Current Records: Manhattan 6-2; Utah 6-3

What to Know

The Manhattan Jaspers will square off against the Utah Utes on the road at 5 p.m. ET Saturday at Jon M. Huntsman Center. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

The Jaspers entered their game against the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Sunday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. Manhattan took a hard 90-73 fall against Quinnipiac.

Meanwhile, Utah lost to the TCU Horned Frogs by a decisive 76-62 margin. Guard David Jenkins Jr. wasn't much of a difference maker for Utah; Jenkins Jr. played for 27 minutes but put up just seven points on 3-for-11 shooting.

Manhattan have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 16 point spread they are up against. Those burned by picking them against the spread on Sunday might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

The Jaspers are now 6-2 while the Utes sit at 6-3. Two stats to keep an eye on: Manhattan is 13th worst in college basketball in turnovers per game, with 16.5 on average. Utah has experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the contest with the 354th fewest takeaways in college basketball, having accrued only 9.2 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
