NCAA Tournament 2017: Upset Kentucky fans burn TV, couch following UNC loss
The Big Blue Nation rioted in the streets after missing an opportunity to advance to the Final Four
Kentucky Wildcats fans were anguished after their team suffered a last-second loss to No. 1 seed North Carolina in the Elite Eight on Sunday afternoon. And they rioted in the streets -- no, literally, they rioted --- to show their anger after coming up short to the Tar Heels.
A Twitter account ‘HLPublicSafety,’ ran by the Lexington Herald-Leader, documented the scene at length in which Kentucky fans and college students torched shirts, couches and televisions to let out their frustrations.
So they just burned a tv.... also I may have been in the path of the cops. pic.twitter.com/O7FY8FzILp

It’s tough to be a Kentucky fan. The Wildcats were seconds away from a Final Four, and made it to their sixth Elite Eight since Calipari took over in 2009 this season. But Big Blue Nation riots in the streets afterward, because it’s title or bust in Lexington. And apparently the bust includes burning everything in sight.
