Who's Playing

Florida @ Texas A&M

Regular Season Records: Florida 19-12; Texas A&M 20-11

What to Know

The Florida Gators and the Texas A&M Aggies are set to clash at noon ET March 10 at Amalie Arena in the second round of the Southeastern Conference Tourney. Both teams looked pretty sloppy on the offensive side of the ball the last time they faced off, scoring just 111 points combined.

Florida came up short against the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday, falling 71-63. A silver lining for the Gators was the play of forward Colin Castleton, who posted a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Mississippi State Bulldogs typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Aggies proved too difficult a challenge. A&M came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 67-64. Four players on A&M scored in the double digits: guard Quenton Jackson (18), forward Henry Coleman III (12), guard Tyrece Radford (11), and guard Wade Taylor IV (10).

Barring any buzzer beaters, Florida is expected to win a tight contest Thursday. Those playing the odds have seen things go back and forth with the Gators, who are 15-16 against the spread.

Two stats to keep an eye on: Florida has allowed their opponents an average of 7.3 steals per game, the 50th most in college basketball. To make matters even worse for Florida, the Aggies rank fourth in college basketball when it comes to steals per game, with 10.3 on average. In other words, Florida will need to work extra hard to take care of the ball.
