Who's Playing
Stetson @ Miami (Fla.)
Current Records: Stetson 4-6; Miami (Fla.) 8-3
What to Know
The Stetson Hatters have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. They and the Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes will compete for holiday cheer at 7 p.m. ET Monday at Watsco Center. Stetson will be seeking to avenge the 82-60 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Dec. 4 of last year.
The College of Charleston Cougars typically have all the answers at home, but this past Thursday the Hatters proved too difficult a challenge. Stetson walked away with a 67-59 win.
Meanwhile, the Fordham Rams typically have all the answers at home, but last week the Hurricanes proved too difficult a challenge. Miami (Fla.) managed a 72-66 victory over Fordham. Miami (Fla.) can attribute much of their success to guard Charlie Moore, who had 18 points in addition to seven boards. Moore's performance made up for a slower game against the Lipscomb Bisons two weeks ago.
The Hatters are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. Those who got lucky with them against the spread this past Thursday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the squad has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
Their wins bumped Stetson to 4-6 and the Hurricanes to 8-3. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Stetson and Miami (Fla.) clash.
