What to Know

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are 2-9 against the #16 Ohio State Buckeyes since January of 2016, but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit Wednesday. RU and the Buckeyes will face off in a Big Ten battle at 7 p.m. ET at Jersey Mike's Arena. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

The Scarlet Knights made easy work of the Michigan State Spartans this past Saturday and carried off an 84-63 victory. RU got double-digit scores from six players: guard Ron Harper Jr. (17), center Clifford Omoruyi (17), guard Paul Mulcahy (15), guard Geo Baker (12), forward Dean Reiber (12), and guard Caleb McConnell (11).

Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the game between OSU and the Maryland Terrapins on Sunday was still a pretty decisive one as OSU wrapped it up with an 82-67 win at home. It was another big night for OSU's forward E.J. Liddell, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards along with five assists.

RU is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Lafayette Leopards Nov. 22 easily too and instead slipped up with a 53-51. In other words, don't count the Buckeyes out just yet.
