Who's Playing

Norfolk State @ Wichita State

Current Records: Norfolk State 9-2; Wichita State 6-2

What to Know

The Norfolk State Spartans' road trip will continue as they head to Charles Koch Arena at 7 p.m. ET Saturday to face off against the Wichita State Shockers. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'

Norfolk State was just a bucket shy of a victory on Saturday and fell 58-57 to the Hampton Pirates.

Meanwhile, Wichita State was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Sunday as they fell 65-59 to the Kansas State Wildcats. Guard Tyson Etienne had a rough evening: he finished with 11 points on 4-for-20 shooting in his 34 minutes on the court.

The Spartans are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. Those burned by picking them against the spread on Saturday might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

The losses put Norfolk State at 9-2 and Wichita State at 6-2. A couple stats to keep an eye on: Norfolk State have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 36.70%, which places them 11th in college basketball. Less enviably, the Shockers have only been able to knock down 39.40% percent of their shots, which is the 18th lowest field goal percentage in college basketball.
