What to Know

The Butler Bulldogs have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. Butler and the #21 Xavier Musketeers will face off in a Big East battle at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday at Cintas Center. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous games.

The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Georgetown Hoyas this past Saturday, sneaking past 56-53. Butler's forward Bryce Nze filled up the stat sheet, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds in addition to three blocks.

Meanwhile, the Musketeers were able to grind out a solid win over the Creighton Bluejays this past Saturday, winning 74-64. Xavier got double-digit scores from four players: guard Paul Scruggs (18), forward Zach Freemantle (16), forward Jack Nunge (16), and guard Nate Johnson (15). Nate Johnson's performance made up for a slower matchup against the Providence Friars last week.

Butler is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. Those betting on them against the spread shouldn't have high expectations for them since the team is 2-8 ATS when expected to lose.

Butler is now 11-10 while the Musketeers sit at 15-5. The Bulldogs are 6-4 after wins this year, Xavier 10-4.
