Columbia @ Yale
Current Records: Columbia 3-9; Yale 6-8
What to Know
The Columbia Lions and the Yale Bulldogs are set to square off in an Ivy matchup at noon ET Jan. 2 at John J. Lee Amphitheater.
The Lions came up short against the Sacred Heart Pioneers three weeks ago, falling 79-69.
Meanwhile, a victory for Yale just wasn't in the stars last Tuesday as the team never even grasped a temporary lead. They got maybe a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Saint Mary's Gaels an easy 87-60 win. Yale was surely aware of their 13.5-point disadvantage in the point spread, but the foreknowledge did nothing to prevent the result. Guard Azar Swain put forth a good effort for the losing side as he shot 5-for-6 from downtown and finished with 21 points and five rebounds.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
