National Signing Day 2022: College football recruiting rankings, key commitments
CBS Sports was with you all afternoon through the traditional National Signing Day for the top commitments
High school football recruits across the country locked up scholarships and formally signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday as the traditional National Signing Day took place for the Class of 2022. While most of the top prospects in the class signed during the early signing period in December, several game-changing players opted to wait and sign in February.
The five-star recruits made their commitments live Wednesday on CBS Sports HQ. Texas A&M earned a commitment from defensive lineman Shemar Stewart as the Aggies officially captured the top recruiting class in college football history, narrowly passing 2021 Alabama for the honor. Meanwhile, offensive lineman Devon Campbell (Texas) and linebacker Harold Perkins (LSU) added finishing touches to key classes for the Longhorns and Tigers.
CBS Sports and 247Sports were here all day to provide updates on the biggest names who signed (see below for individual stories). Additionally, you can scan through our live blog for all the details from our group of recruiting and college football experts on a busy signing day that you may have missed.
