Caleb Banks MIN DT
Vikings' Caleb Banks: Expected back for training camp
2d agoCoach Kevin O'Connell said in June that Banks (foot), who did not participate in spring practices, is expected to be ready by the start of training camp, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.
Minnesota's rookies are set to report to training camp by July 26, with training camp kicking off for the full team Aug. 1. The Vikings took a cautious approach in the spring with Banks, whom Minnesota drafted 18th overall in April. He sat out spring practices while recovering from a broken bone in his foot, which the defensive tackle out of Florida sustained at the NFL Scouting Combine in February.

2d agoCarter is healthy enough to play in 2026 after undergoing and rehabbing from arthroscopic knee surgery, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Carter was waived from Houston's injured reserve list Wednesday, but he'll still need to pass a physical before getting another opportunity, whether it's with the Texans or a different team.

-
Terrion Arnold DET CB
Terrion Arnold: Let go by Detroit
5d agoArnold (shoulder) was cut by the Lions on Monday.
The news comes shortly after an Associated Press report that a Florida judge has set a $1 million bail in connection to Arnold's ongoing felony trial for charges of armed robbery and kidnapping. Arnold is unlikely to resume his NFL career until his legal proceedings conclude.

Omar Cooper Jr. NYJ WR
Jets' Omar Cooper: Solidifying spot in three-wide sets
5d agoCooper was the Jets' most impressive rookie in spring practices and looks to have solidified his spot in three-receiver sets, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
The Jets traded up into the first round to draft Cooper 30th overall. The versatile rookie out of Indiana played both on the outside and in the slot in college, which should help Cooper get on the field consistently alongside Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell. Per Geoffrey A. Knox of USA Today Jets Wire, Mitchell and slot receiver option Isaiah Williams were two of the Jets' top performers during the offseason program, so Cooper will need to continue building on his strong spring to secure playing time. That being said, Cimini expects Cooper's physical playing style to help the rookie shine even more once the pads come on in training camp.

Brendan Donovan SEA 2B
Mariners' Brendan Donovan: Cleared for rehab assignment
1m agoDonovan (groin) will embark on a rehab assignment Tuesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Donovan is ready to take the next step in his recovery from a left groin strain that landed him on the 10-day injured list in mid-May. Given the timeline, the veteran infielder is unlikely to return to the majors until after the All-Star break.

Emerson Hancock SEA SP
Mariners' Emerson Hancock: Getting traditional start Sunday
4m agoHancock will no longer piggyback Logan Gilbert against the Blue Jays on Saturday, with the former drawing the start for Sunday's series finale, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
For a second-straight week, the duo of Hancock and Gilbert will get their own traditional starts. Hancock looked good in his last outing this past Sunday against the Guardians, when he allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out six across 5.2 innings in a no-decision. The 27-year-old right-hander sports a 3.47 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 87:22 K:BB across 90.2 innings this season.

Mariners' Logan Gilbert: No longer being piggybacked
6m agoEmerson Hancock will no longer piggyback Gilbert for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Gilbert and Hancock will make their own traditional starts this weekend, with the latter taking the mound for Sunday's series finale. The move corresponds with Atlanta recalling JR Ritchie from Gwinnett.
-
Kyle Farmer ATL 3B
Braves' Kyle Farmer: Back from injured list
18m agoAtlanta reinstated Farmer (forearm) from the 10-day injured list Saturday.
Farmer has been on the 10-day IL since mid May due to a strained right forearm. He was cleared for a rehab assignment in late June and went 2-for-20 with one home run, three RBI and five runs scored. While he didn't look great at the plate during his rehab assignment, Farmer has progressed enough in his recovery to return to the majors, with his reinstatement from the IL corresponding with Atlanta placing Ha-Seong Kim (finger) on the 10-day IL.
-
Ha-seong Kim ATL SS
Braves' Ha-Seong Kim: Lands on IL with finger injury
24m agoAtlanta placed Kim on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to Wednesday, due to right middle finger inflammation.
Kim has gone 0-for-24 with four walks and eight strikeouts over his last 13 games and has not recorded a hit since June 3 against the Blue Jays. The 30-year-old infielder is eligible to return from the IL prior to the All-Star break, though it's unclear whether he'll need a longer stint on the shelf. Kyle Farmer (forearm) was reinstated from the 10-day IL in a corresponding move.

The 2026 No. 24 overall pick is coming off a sound 2025-26 campaign at Baylor, where he averaged 18.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.9 steals on 49.4 percent shooting from the field and 37.4 percent shooting from deep across 33.7 minutes in 34 regular-season and postseason games. Will Richard GS PG
Warriors' Will Richard: Scores 16 points in SL action
14h agoRichard finished with 16 points (6-8 FG, 4-5 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and three steals across 21 minutes in Friday's 104-72 California Classic Summer League victory over the Lakers.
Richard, the No. 56 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, wasn't a reliable producer for the Warriors throughout his inaugural year. However, the 23-year-old was serviceable when called upon, averaging 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.1 blocks and 1.3 steals across 24.4 minutes in 21 regular-season starts. Richard has proven he can play at the NBA level, and it's possible he could show more signs of growth in his second season, especially if he continues to get opportunities to start.
-

14h agoLendeborg finished with 19 points (6-6 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block across 22 minutes in Friday's 104-72 California Classic Summer League win over the Lakers.
Lendeborg had a fantastic showing Friday, scoring a team-high 19 points while going a perfect 4-for-4 from deep. The 2026 No. 11 overall pick is coming off a quality 2025-26 campaign at Michigan, where he averaged 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals over 30.2 minutes in 40 regular-season and postseason games. It's unknown how much action Lendeborg will see this summer, though it appears his performance Friday already improved his odds of carving out a meaningful role with the Warriors heading into the regular season.

Chris Manon LAL SG
Lakers' Chris Manon: Inks another two-way deal
16h agoManon agreed to a two-way deal with the Lakers on Friday, Khobi Price of The California Post reports.

6m agoStillman signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Red Wings on Saturday.
Stillman had three goals, nine points and 48 PIM in 24 regular-season appearances with AHL Abbotsford in 2025-26. Although the 23-year-old was selected with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, Stillman has yet to play in the NHL and became an unrestricted free agent after Vancouver declined to present him with a qualifying offer. Stillman will probably start the 2026-27 campaign in the minors.

-
Andrew Peeke UTA D
Mammoth's Andrew Peeke: Heading west
21h agoPeeke signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Mammoth on Friday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.
Peeke had five goals, nine assists, 82 shots on net, 105 hits, 135 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating over 77 regular-season games with the Bruins last year. The 28-year-old defenseman will be in the mix for a depth role in Utah, but he may occasionally serve as a healthy scratch. Peeke has some value in banger leagues but has never had more than 17 points in a season, so his scoring upside is limited.
-
Hendrix Lapierre PIT C
Penguins' Hendrix Lapierre: Inks two-year contract
21h agoLapierre signed a two-year, $2.6 million contract with the Penguins on Friday.
Lapierre produced 16 points over 74 appearances with the Capitals in 2025-26. He was dealt to the Penguins on June 25 as the Capitals needed to shed commitments following their aggressive retooling prior to the draft. The 24-year-old forward will be in contention for bottom-six minutes in 2026-27, but he may not play on an everyday basis.
