Raheem Mostert LV RB
Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Four offensive snaps in loss
9m agoMostert rushed once for six yards and caught his lone target for three yards in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Texans. He also returned two kickoffs for 53 yards.
Mostert's only carry of the contest didn't come until the start of the fourth quarter, and workhorse running back Ashton Jeanty hogged the offensive spotlight with 25 total touches for 188 yards and two scores. A similarly one-sided backfield split can be expected against the Giants in Week 17.
-
Michael Mayer LV TE
Raiders' Michael Mayer: Earns three targets in loss
16m agoMayer caught one of three targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Texans.
Mayer has not caught more than one pass in a single contest since Week 11, though he played 36 of 54 offensive snaps for the Raiders on Sunday. Meanwhile, fellow tight end Brock Bowers paced the team with five receptions on as many targets for 33 yards and a score.
-
Jack Bech LV WR
Raiders' Jack Bech: Fills in as WR2
23m agoBech caught two of three targets for 43 yards in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Texans.
Bech filled the WR2 role behind Tre Tucker after Tyler Lockett exited Sunday's contest early with a wrist injury, and Bech could see a similarly increased level of involvement against the Giants in Week 17 if Lockett remains sidelined. Bech has caught at least two passes in four consecutive games, but he's yet to find the end zone as a rookie.

Quinshon Judkins CLE RB
Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Surgery scheduled
37m agoJudkins will undergo surgery to repair a dislocated right ankle and fractured fibula Tuesday at University Hospitals, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
As reported earlier, Judkins will face a four-to-five month timeline which is set to begin this week. He's expected to make a full recovery. In his absence, Cleveland's ground game will feature a committee of running backs that includes Dylan Sampson (hand/calf), Raheim Sanders and Trayveon Williams.
-
Dont'e Thornton Jr. LV WR
Raiders' Dont'e Thornton: Logs four snaps in defeat
41m agoThornton was not targeted in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Texans.
Thornton played just four offensive snaps in the Raiders' ninth consecutive defeat, while fellow rookie receiver Jack Bech caught two of three targets for 43 yards in the WR2 role behind Tre Tucker. Thornton has not caught a pass since Week 13, and he's even ceded playing time to punt returner Alex Bachman.

Dylan Sampson CLE RB
Browns' Dylan Sampson: Improving daily
1h agoCleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Sampson (hand/calf) is improving by the day, Noah Monroe of the Browns' official website reports.
Sampson missed Week 16, and the coach is hopeful for a return this coming Sunday against the Steelers. With Quinshon Judkins (leg/ankle) out of action for the remainder of the regular season, the Browns hope to have a full complement of backs available. That includes Sampson, Raheim Sanders and Trayveon Williams. If all are healthy for Week 17, Sampson would be considered the lead back.

Cole Young SEA SS
Mariners' Cole Young: Won't be blocked by outside add
1h agoYoung is expected to see the majority of playing time at second base for the Mariners in 2026 even if the team acquires a second baseman from outside the organization, Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon of The Athletic report.
The Mariners remain very high on Young even after he had just a .607 OPS in 257 plate appearances during his rookie season. Young is just 22, but the Mariners appear committed to giving him some leash in the majors in 2026. It seemingly makes a trade for Ketel Marte unlikely, and if Brendan Donovan is acquired, he would be in line to see the bulk of his reps at a position other than second base.

Ronny Henriquez MIA RP
Marlins' Ronny Henriquez: To miss 2026 season
15h agoHenriquez underwent a UCL reconstruction surgery with an internal brace procedure on his right elbow and will miss the 2026 season, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Henriquez appeared in line to compete for save chances heading into the 2026 campaign after putting together an impressive 2025 season. He posted a 2.22 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with a 98:27 K:BB and seven saves in 11 chances across 73.0 innings. However, he'll now shift his focus to rehabbing following a recent season-ending surgery. The Marlins expect him to be ready for next year's spring training, per an update from the team.

Dominic Fletcher CHW RF
Pirates' Dominic Fletcher: Latches on with Pirates
17h agoThe Pirates signed Fletcher to a minor-league contract Monday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.
Fletcher elected free agency back in October after being removed from the White Sox' 40-man roster and he'll now head back to the National League. The 28-year-old has slashed only .233/.280/.325 in parts of three big-league seasons and, even with the Pirates' lack of outfield depth, will likely begin the 2026 season at Triple-A Indianapolis.
-
Rob Refsnyder BOS RF
Mariners' Rob Refsnyder: Inks $6.25M deal with Seattle
18h agoThe Mariners signed Refsnyder to a one-year, $6.25 million contract Monday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Refsnyder slashed a robust .312/.407/.516 versus left-handed pitching during his four seasons with the Red Sox, and it should be against southpaws that he sees most of his playing time with the Mariners. He's capable of handling all three outfield spots, and while Refsnyder does have past infield experience, he hasn't played on the dirt regularly since 2017.
-
Ken Waldichuk ATH SP
Athletics' Ken Waldichuk: Scrubbed from 40-man roster
18h agoThe Athletics designated Waldichuk for assignment Monday.
The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Jeff McNeil (shoulder), who was acquired via trade. Waldichuk missed all of 2024 and the first half of 2025 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, and he posted an 8.65 ERA, 2.06 WHIP and 64:42 K:BB across 51 innings this past season at Triple-A Las Vegas. The lefty will turn 28 in January and hasn't pitched in the majors since 2023, but with a career 33.9 percent strikeout rate in the minors and team control through 2029, he could draw interest via trade or waivers.
-
Jeff McNeil NYM 2B
Athletics' Jeff McNeil: Shipped to Athletics
19h agoThe Athletics acquired McNeil (shoulder) and cash considerations from the Mets on Monday in exchange for Yordan Rodriguez, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
McNeil finished the 2025 season with a .243/.335/.411 batting line and 12 home runs over 462 plate appearances, which was his best offensive season since he made the All-Star team and won the National League batting title in 2022. He underwent thoracic outlet surgery after this past season but is expected to be ready for spring training. Slated to turn 34 just after Opening Day, McNeil will take over as the Athletics' starting second baseman and will get a boost with a move from Citi Field to Sutter Health Park.

Brandon Miller CHA SG
Hornets' Brandon Miller: Strong line in loss
3m agoMiller racked up 20 points (8-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one rebound, three assists, one block and two steals over 27 minutes during Monday's 139-132 loss to the Cavaliers.
Miller was one of three Hornets to reach at least 20 points as he combined with Kon Knueppel and LaMelo Ball for a total of 63 points in the loss. Miller has been trending in the right direction, posting averages of 20.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.6 steals, 1.2 blocks and 2.8 three-pointers over his last five games.
-
Brandon Williams DAL PG
Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Could sit out Tuesday
36m agoWilliams said after Monday's 119-113 loss to the Pelicans that images on his sprained right ankle came out "pretty well," but he admitted that he's "not sure" if he'll play Tuesday versus Denver, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports. He finished Monday's game with four points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 15 minutes.
After tweaking his ankle late in the second quarter of Monday's contest, Williams briefly headed to the locker room and then tested his injury on an elliptical bike before checking back into the contest with five seconds left in the third quarter. He didn't appear to have any setbacks upon re-entering the game, but Williams acknowledged that he was playing through some pain Monday and could need to rest for the second leg of a back-to-back set. If Williams ends up sitting Tuesday, the Mavericks could reopen a spot in the rotation for D'Angelo Russell as the top backup to starting point guard Ryan Nembhard.

VJ Edgecombe PHI SG
76ers' VJ Edgecombe: Uncertain to play Tuesday
42m agoEdgecombe was added to the 76ers' injury report and is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nets due to an illness, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Along with Edgecombe, Quentin Grimes and Dominick Barlow will take questionable tags into Tuesday's game due to illnesses, while Joel Embiid is probable. Perhaps out of concern of a bug being spread to other players, the 76ers opted to cancel their morning shootaround. Edgecombe will rest up throughout the morning and afternoon before the 76ers likely offer further clarity on his status as the game's 7 p.m. ET tipoff approaches. If both Edgecombe and Grimes end up being sidelined, the 76ers could have to turn for Jared McCain, Justin Edwards and Jabari Walker for more minutes on the wing, and one or both of Kyle Lowry and Eric Gordon could enter the rotation.

Deni Avdija POR SF
Trail Blazers' Deni Avdija: Comes close to triple-double
2h agoAvdija accumulated 18 points (4-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 9-15 FT), eight rebounds, nine assists and one block in 39 minutes during Monday's 110-102 loss to the Pistons.
Avdija finished just two rebounds and an assist shy of a triple-double, but he had the distinction of spurring a late rally in the fourth quarter. He logged seven points, three rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot as the squad erased a 21-point deficit. Although the team has gone 4-5 in December, the month has gone quite well for Avdija, averaging 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 8.2 assists and 1.0 steals over nine games.
-
Donovan Clingan POR C
Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Records double-double in loss
2h agoClingan finished Monday's 110-102 loss to Detroit with 17 points (6-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-6 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 34 minutes.
Clingan kept pace with Jalen Duren for most of the contest, but he was unable to contain the Detroit big man in the closing minutes. He was a key part of the fourth-quarter rally that erased a 21-point deficit, but he withered with the rest of the unit on the defensive end while the Pistons completed an 11-2 run at the end of the game.
-
Shaedon Sharpe POR SG
Trail Blazers' Shaedon Sharpe: Leads team with 25 points in loss
2h agoSharpe contributed 25 points (11-21 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists and five steals across 35 minutes during Monday's 110-102 loss to Detroit.
Sharpe was part of a combined fourth-quarter rally to erase a 21-point deficit, ultimately taking a one-point lead before giving it away in the final minutes. He was especially effective in the first quarter, getting off to a hot start with six points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal before ceding to the second unit.
-
Drew O'Connor VAN LW
Canucks' Drew O'Connor: Ends December drought
10m agoO'Connor scored his eighth goal of the season in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Flyers.
The 27-year-old snapped home a fairly meaningless tally for the Canucks with 18 seconds left in the game, but the goal did at least lift a weight off O'Connor's shoulders -- he'd been held off the scoresheet completely over the first nine games in December. On the season, O'Connor has produced 13 points in 36 games while skating in a bottom-six role with 42 shots on net, 30 hits, 17 blocked shots, 18 PIM and a minus-1 rating.
-
Thatcher Demko VAN G
Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Grounded in Philly
14m agoDemko turned aside 34 of 38 shots in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Flyers, with Philadelphia's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
After a scoreless first period, the Canucks' defense began to fall apart in the second, giving Demko little support as the home side built a 3-0 lead before Vancouver got on the board. It was the first time Demko had allowed more than three goals in a start since Nov. 3, and in five outings since returning from a lower-body injury, he's gone 3-2-0 with a dazzling 1.82 GAA and .929 save percentage.
-
Luca Del Bel Belluz CLB C
Blue Jackets' Luca Del Bel Belluz: Returned to minors
15m agoDel Bel Belluz was reassigned to AHL Cleveland on Tuesday.
Del Bel Belluz was promoted under emergency conditions but with the Jackets off until Sunday's clash with the Islanders, the forward wasn't needed on the NHL roster anymore. Despite the demotion, the 22-year-old Ontario native could be brought back up prior to the clash with New York and fill out a bottom-six role for the club.
-
Nikita Kucherov TB RW
Lightning's Nikita Kucherov: Shines on power play in win
21m agoKucherov notched two power-play assists in Monday's 4-1 win over the Blues.
The three-time Art Ross Trophy winner helped set up tallies by Darren Raddysh in the first period and Oliver Bjorkstrand in the third. Kucherov has delivered four multi-point performances in the last six games, and he's up to 45 points (13 goals, 32 assists) in 32 contests, putting him seventh in this season's scoring race headed into the Christmas break.
-
Jake Guentzel TB C
Lightning's Jake Guentzel: Two PP helpers Monday
25m agoGuentzel collected two power-play assists in Monday's 4-1 win over the Blues.
The veteran winger had a hand in tallies by Darren Raddysh in the first period and Oliver Bjorkstrand in the third. Guentzel has three multi-point performances in the last six games, and since the beginning of November he's delivered an impressive 13 goals and 28 points in 25 contests.
-
Darren Raddysh TB D
Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Erupts for three points Monday
28m agoRaddysh scored the game-winning goal on the power play and added two assists in Monday's 4-1 win over the Blues.
The 29-year-old blueliner reached 100 points on his career in the process, as he continues surging toward a career-best campaign. Since Victor Hedman (elbow) was placed back on IR, Raddysh has racked up three goals and seven points in six games, and on the season he's already set a new personal best with eight goals, and tied his career high with nine power-play points (four goals, five helpers).
