Athletics' Cody Thomas: Returns to minors

Thomas was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

Thomas spent more than a month with the big club and held his own when out there, but he started only four games for the A's after the calendar flipped to August, so he will head back to the minors and presumably see action more regularly.
