Orioles' Jason Garcia: Optioned to Double-A

The Orioles have optioned Garcia to Double-A Bowie.

Garcia pitched 29.2 relief innings for the Orioles before being sent down, accumulating a 4.25 ERA with 17 walks in 29.2 innings. He will head back to Double-A where they will most likely use him again as a starter. The 23-year-old will need to continue working on his control if he wants to be an effective major league pitcher.
