Orioles' Jayson Aquino: Cast off 40-man roster

Aquino was designated for assignment by the Orioles on Tuesday.

This move clears room on the 40-man roster for Austin Hays, the Orioles' top prospect, to join the big club. Aquino compiled an unsightly 7.43 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in 13.1 major-league innings this season. The 24-year-old will now head through waivers to determine his next landing spot.
