Rockies' Chad Qualls: Expects to be activated when ready

Qualls (back) got through a 25-pitch bullpen session Wednesday with no issues, MLB.com reports.

The veteran right-hander landed on the DL earlier in the week due to back spasms, though he appears to be progressing well. Qualls, who said he felt normal during Wednesday's bullpen, believes he'll be ready to return from the disabled list when first eligible next week.
