Sabres' Lukas Rousek: Undergoes knee surgery

Rousek underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL on Tuesday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.

This is obviously an unfortunate development for Rousek, who signed his entry-level deal with the Sabres in April, setting him up to make his North American debut with AHL Rochester this season. Now, it appears as though he'll almost certainly miss the entirety of the campaign. The 2019 sixth-round pick racked up 14 goals and 38 points in 49 games with HC Sparta Praha of the Czech league last year.
