The Cardinals have traded Triple-A pitcher Angel Castro to the Athletics for cash considerations.
Castro, 31, is a minor-league lifer who has pitched in the Dodgers and Cardinals organizations over the last two seasons after stints in Mexico and Japan. He owns a 4.01 ERA and 63:26 KB:B ratio in 94 1/3 innings over 26 appearances (14 starts) with Triple-A Memphis.
