Here's what Dodger Stadium might have looked like
This early rendering reminds us that Dodger Stadium could've been very different.
Via @MLBCathedrals (a great Twitter follow, by the way) comes this early conceptual rendering of Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles ...

So that would've been different. The hinterland of parking lots is still there, but the lack of outfield seating would've made for some interesting home runs. I wouldn't mind seeing how far, say, a Mike Piazza clout might have traveled if aided by a concrete bounce. If nothing else, many a sensible sedan would've been ritually abused by well-struck baseballs.
I'll take the genuine article, of course, as Dodger boasts perhaps the best exterior of any park in baseball and has become a beloved venue over the last 50-plus years. What you see above, though, is certainly something to ponder.
