Blue Jays pitcher Sergio Santos went through a light toss session Wednesday for the first time since suffering a forearm strain May 9, MLB.com reports.
"There's no tenderness or soreness anymore," Santos said. "Everything feels good. When I get out of bed every morning, I feel almost as healthy as I was at the start of the season, so that's encouraging."
Santos is expected to start playing catch Friday before progressing to long toss a few days later. The team hopes he'll be able to begin throwing bullpen sessions at some point next week.
