Watching Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals was tough for any devoted Heat fan, but imagine what it was like for suspended forward Chris Andersen, who was relegated to his Indianapolis hotel room during Miami’s 91-77 loss.

"It was tough," Andersen told Yahoo Sports on Saturday night. “My palms were sweating. My adrenaline was pumping. I was yelling at the TV just trying to cheer my guys on. I tried to support them from my room. It’s tough, but that’s the way it went.”

The Heat, outrebounded 53-33 in the loss, were dominated in the paint as Roy Hibbert and David West combined for 35 points and 25 rebounds. Due to Andersen’s absence, the Heat resorted to extended minutes for reserve Joel Anthony, who hadn’t played more than three minutes in any game all series.

Andersen has averaged 7.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks coming off the bench in the East finals.

On Saturday morning after Miami’s shootaround, Andersen told reporters that he "can’t regret anything" about his shoving match with Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough that led to his suspension.

But a remorseful Andersen told Yahoo Sports that his suspension was "a lesson learned." He added, "I got to be able to control my composure no matter how rough the game gets."
